Information
This is the 'main' beach for watersports, and the only one where kite sports are allowed. Two hours either side of high tide are best avoided due to shore dump, but the rest of the time it's terrific. Given the flat, sandy expanse it's one of the best beaches in the area, especially for novices and intermediates.

Hazards include strong currents, a shipwreck nearby exposed at lower tides (ask someone to point it out if it's covered by the sea) and sheer number of people (due to its popularity) in high season. Either way, it's pretty much the best sporting beach in the SE for any wind with an S in it.

Directions: About 200yds to the East of Camber on the main road. Free parking.
