Trecco Bay just outside Porthcawl is a small sandy bay with rocks at its southern end. Access to the beach is gained through the caravan park, which is signposted from porthcawl. Park in the carvan park itself, or by the lifeguard station at the western edge of the beach.
Good quality facitilites are available in the caravan park, within 5 minutes walk from the beach. Lifeguards are on duty during the summer months and dog restirctions are in place in certain areas.
Trecco Bay is suited to intermediate or expert windsurfers and can provide excellent jumping conditions in a Westerly wind. The rocks and rips here make it unsuitable for beginners.

sw to onshore at treco use newton instead, also surf conditions here and
v.good indeed sandy bay several hundred yds to right is quite a popular
surf venue.
