A nice ride around Joe's Back Garden with Dave and Bernd.

It was a hot and humid day and there were thunderstorms brewing. We made it out the the Aberpethnant rock garden in the dry, but then the rain came and we had a very wet ride out along Nant y Moch and out to Hyddgen. The river crossings out there were interesting with the rivers in full flood with brown, sediment rich water rushing through them.

The rain stopped then though and we were able to take out coats off by the time we got to Angler's Retreat. The river crossings here were fine.

Back at the cars it was a quick rush to get away before the midges homed in!
