13th July 2009 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: WSW Wind Stength: 20-30 knots Surf / Sea State: 3 foot surf Air Temperature: 16ºC Sea Temperature: 16ºC Weather: Sunny spells Max Speed: Distance Covered: Went out early as it was windy rather than waiting for the sunshine. If I had waited I'm sure the wind would have dropped. As it was, there was plenty of wind and I was well powered up with my 5m and Naish Hybrid Freewave board. The wind did pick up a little whilst I was out there too which was good and the sun came out towards the end of the session. Lots of blasting back and forth all on my own, some nice jumps including one with such a heavy landing that I had to check my board for creases! Loads of really goo back side wave-rides too. The wind was still blowing by the time I got off the water and the sky was now clear and blue. I wish I could have stayed out for more, but everything was aching and my knees and ankles hurt so I thought it was best to quit whilst I was ahead. |
