Left home in darknes with pouring rain so I could return by 12:45.
By the time I got there the rain had stopped & skies were clearing to the
west.
Rigged the 6.5 and optimistically ventured out into not-a-lot of wind.
No-one else out & quite cold so just piddled about and gradually the wind
increased by gusty increments.
As the skies turned almost cloudless the wind picked up & by eleven figured
it was time to go for a 5.5 for the last half hour.
The last half hour turned into a good 50 minutes and meant a panic to pack
up. Oh how time flies when you're enjoying yourself!
Minimum length reaches to get in gybes and half -arsed tacks made it
intensive.
The sailing was unremarkable but the experience of the day super - going
from heavy rain to bright sunshine & having to pack up while you're still
on a high rather than because you're shagged.
Made it back home in the nick of time!
