After a not very good session in the morning, Steve and I watched some videos and wandered across to the beach a few times waiting for the wind to pick up. Eventually at around 3.30pm it did so we headed back over to the beach.

Steve took the same kit as before, a 6.2m and Fanatic Hawk 108, I took a smaller sail 5.6m and my S-Type and Naish Freewave. It was definitely windier than before but whilst we were rigging not that windy.

Once on the water though it filled in properly and we were both really well powered up. If anything overpowered so I cam back in and changed down to the smaller board and Steve applied more outhaul and downhaul.

Back out with more manageble kit for a good sail and then the wind eased off a little again so we changed back to the bigger / more powerful kit.

The waves were now much bigger as well with some really big lumps out the back. I don't very often sail my bigger board in such conditions but once I'd got used to jumping it all felt good.

We had a really good sail, well powered up in challenging conditions. Steve then got munched by a big wave and destroyed his sail so we called it a day and headed back to dinner which Anna had cooked and was ready as soon as we were... Nice!
