10th July 2010 Windsurfing: Rutland Wind Direction: S & W Wind Stength: F4 Surf / Sea State: Flat as a witches tit Air Temperature: 22 Sea Temperature: Warm Weather: Sunshine & cloud, dry. Max Speed: Distance Covered: Low expectations = easily pleased. And I was! Arrived shortly after 9 o'clock to sunshine & what appeared to be decent wind - certainly exceeding forecasts. Paddy quipped that he thought I didn't like Rutland after I whinged last week. By the time I'd rigged it'd dropped but then it came back which pretty much set the pattern for the morning. Went to the church, had a play then the wind swung more W so after having to beat back quite hard had a drink & stayed in the north arm. Just enjoyed the gusts in the sunshine with water less cluttered than last week (Dart regatta) & packed up shortly after noon. Really enjoyed it - this time it was Paddy whinging! It's all about expectations :-) Usual faces there. Went home & took the mtb out for a bit of green laning to test the new shoes. Enjoyed that too. If only summer never ended. |
