Windsurfing: Hunstanton Wind Direction: W then NW Wind Stength: F6 - F1 - F6 Surf / Sea State: Waist hi+ - flat - knee high Air Temperature: 15 Sea Temperature: ok Weather: Rain then sun Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Arrived 08:20 to waves breaking over the wall & blowin' a hoolie.
Waited half hour - Bob turned up, went for tea & teacakes and still the
water was too high.
Eventually launched just after 11:00 with a 4.5 and barely powered up.
Had a few runs & ended up a few groynes down & then it rained - no, it
really rained!
And the wind fecked off.
Undecided what to do but re-rigging wasn't an option as there was
nothing.
Stood on the prom discussing whether to go home & the sun broke through &
white horses appeared in the distance.
Back on the board c/w 4.5 and it kept increasing to the point a 4.0 would
have been better but as the arms were giving up, a lot of walking would
have been involved & it was almost 16:00 reluctantly packed up.
Quite lumpy despite being shallow by then indicating just how windy it was
- gusting 50mph.
Altho' a bank holiday weekend less traffic than a normal summer Sunday on
the way home - can't be bad!
Almost 5*
(oh - and the knee behaved very well - even tried jumping. It's on the
mend!)
