What a top day !!! went to bed with it raining here in Samoens but as the
temperature dropped it turned to snow :) we had 3" in the town and at about
a foot up the mountain !!! Then the clouds cleared and the sun came out !!!
wonderful :) We needed to get our learner Tom on a chairlift soafter a trip
to Samoens for cake and bread we packed a picnic and headed just up the
road to Morillon. We bought a 4 hour pass and headed up to the fabulous
Marvel green run. It would have been great to be up on the first lift to
make the most of the powder !!! The Marvel run was lumpy with fresh snow
but easy to ski, I headed offpiste with David, he went left and I right and
didn't see him again !!! after an interesting trip amongst the trees I
found the piste again but it took me another 90 mins. to find Mag who was
having a coffee in a restuarent :) The kids were having a bite but we
headed up the mountain and had our picnic with a lovely view :) Mag and I
then spent the rest of the time doing the Marvel run which I videoed - it
took 13 mins :) We then tried a red and some offpiste but it was very bumy
now and I was knackered and my legs shot to pieces !!! I wipped out big
style near the Morillon cable car losing both skis !!! We then continued
down to the village which was a bit icy :( It was then back to the
appartment for fruit bread and 2 hours of game shows on British channels -
our favourite Tipping point !!! After 3 hectic days on the piste we might
have a day off and go for a walk :)
