Emails suggested there was action at Bradfield, so shot off to the location. To be fair it was windy on arrival about 1.30 pm. Ian and Pete were flying as Jay packed up. In fact I was worrying the 8.6 Gaastra Savage was too big, so rigged very slow. Alas as predicted the wind dropped. loaded the 8.6 to my 146L JP pro with the sail set with less than min downhaul and completely tight leech. Awful set as the sweet spot swings all over the place in gusts. Had a few runs and the best winds was 1/2 mile down the river in the bay. It was hard work as the wind swung as well as ranged from F2-F4 most of the time. Had one full length run which was worth 3 stars on its own, but the rest was gusty.
Ian was hardly off the plane but Pete called it a day early, tangling with a dopy fisherman who chose to set up in front of a bunch of windsurfers on the tiny car park slot, unbelievable! I got tangled twice, we had nowhere else to land yet this guy had the whole beach to choose from!
