Windsurfing: Llanfairfechan Wind Direction: WNW Wind Stength: F5-F7 Surf / Sea State: Big Chop Air Temperature: 17 Sea Temperature: 15 Weather: cloud then sun Max Speed: 26.2/2secs (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 15.3 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)
Looked windy so rigged 76l/4.2m but not as much as expected and a few holes
and gusts. 4.2m ok but maybe 4.7m would have been better. Wind a bit off
Anglesey and think quarry was killing it too so tried to make my way along
cob which was better. Launching off jetty was OK without much dump, but
hard to make upwind in chop and quarry killing wind. You need to be
carefull not to get washed onto rocks if in difficulty in this direction,
and stronger current too. As tide dropped several hundred metres inshore
was better conditions. Hard work and slow going in chop so packed up after
hour and half.
