The wind was teasing me all day but was just a little too light. Eventually around 2pm it filled in a little so I headed to the beach with my big kit. It was now around 20 knots but with a few lulls and fairly small seas so I rigged my 6.7m and bog 104ltr board so as to make sure I was powered up.

Once on the water I was definitely powered up and the big kit was quite a handful. I held onto it for half an hour or so as the wind continued to increase but eventually decided enough was enough and changed down to my 5.7m

Changing down only took a few minutes and once back on the water the 5.7m was plenty. If anything a smaller board would have been perfect with it but I stuck with the 104 ltr board for some mad blasting in and out between the waves. Some nice jumps and some fun wave rides too.

The wind filled in even more and was up around 30 knots for a while as a small squall came through. Once again the kit was a little too much for these conditions but I held on and once the squall passed things settled down to perfect conditions for the kit.

Lawrence was out kiting but otherwise threre was no one else around.

Another good day on the sea.
