Had a good day, but there were a few squalls going around as well so wasn't
able to go out all the time. Got the Aero 10m out for the first time and
was well impressed with it. A lot of power in mild wind really when I flew
it. Took it in the water first without the board and did some body
dragging and some jumps and was getting some air and it was wicked. Well
suprised, seems more powerful than my 11m projected Freeair. Was really
having a great time. Also did an upside down head first underwater
bodydrag which scared the life out of me. Was thinking of pulling the
safety whilst under water lol.
Oh, almost forgot. For the first time EVER I managed to water relaunch
WOOHOO. In fact I did it twice. Considering I was gonna take a lesson on
how to do this I'm well pleased, goes to show its just practise.
Took the board out as well but couldn't get my feet in it because of the
waves. I really need to learn a technique of how to grab the baord and get
my feet in it while keeping the kite at 12o'clock. This, from now on, is
my main objective as I feel comfortable flying the kites now, though lack a
bit of confidence still I think.
Me, Neill and Graham had a BBQ in the evening in the Golf Course Car Park
and drank loads of beer before sleeping in our cars. What a day.
