Walk *** Sunnrise along Felixstowe prom.

Awake the usual time around 6.30, made hard work of Wordle this morning then checked the sunrise out of the back, bedroom window and with a hint of red I decided to head down to Felixstowe seafront to catch it. Made it to the end of our road at 7.10 and the sky was pretty clear with a new moon showing well and a touch of red on the horzien. There was a good breeze but it was a fraction offshore so I walked to Cobbolds point as the sun, a big red ball appeared getting a few pics to send to the local TV weather, none onn during the day but an old one of mine made it onto BBC’s Look East of light snow on our patio as there might be some snow inland on Thursday! Then back along the clifftop to have breakfast and sort out my pics.

Windsurf ****

With the breezy and mild wsw blowing over 20 knots I decided to head over to Levingtonn for the second day running with Maggie coming down for lunch later, she loves that walk:) Arriving at 10.15 with the tide dropping, in fact I sailed the session with the tide going out but that was not problem with the wind gusting to 30 knots at times! Foil board by the marina entrance and I went for 5.5 again but could probably used my 5.2 or even the 4.7 especially as the River Orwell was pretty choppy on the corner! Launching easily at 10.45 and sailing straight out of the marina entrance channel I went for my usual fast first hour and with more wind today I was able to stay on the foil for most of the time. As it was tide with wind it was a bit of a beat both ways and nothing fast just just fairly short runs in the chop across the corner, it turned into another gybe feast doing around 50 today in a little under two hours and was pleased to get a 14 knot hour:) So no long runs down the river today and it was interesting at times with bigh gusts coming through but the 5.5 was fine, highlight today was more sun than yesterday and a seal popped its head up! Getting knackered I decided to call it a day and landed with the tide pretty low now but I whizzed up the channel getting my fastest speed of the session! I was packing up as the wind really picked up, now constanly over 30 knots and was packing up as Mag arrived. She had taken the bus to the bridge on the road leading to Levington village and walked through the old Fisons to say hello to a friends donkey and spotted 40 deer in several spots and really enjoyed her breezy walk in the sunshine! I have a quick shower and join Mag for lunch in the van before packing up and heading for home. Another breezy mild day tomorrow so might give it another go but am pretty knackered but you have to make the most of the mild weather!
