30th August 2004 Windsurfing: Treco Bay , Porthcawl Wind Direction: nw Wind Stength: 17mph Surf / Sea State: small waves/some swell Air Temperature: ok Sea Temperature: ok Weather: sunny spells Max Speed: Distance Covered: put a ding hole in my Acid wave yesterday so had to borrow a wave board today . Nobby lent me a vintage Mistral Eruption 78l and stuck the Ezzy wave 5.5m on it . Swansea Dan was a bit miffed telling it was pissing him off as I blasted past him on his trendy new north superstar/ F2 maui on an ancient kit. Actually the Mistrals quite a good board fast and controlable but slows very quickly in the gybe (my excuse ). Anyway back to the sailing Treco was going good with the outgoing tide with some jumps to had , Nobby ,Del Boy , Jamie and Swansea Dan out plus a few non locals, good 2hrs powered up but as the tide marched in wind was easing and staying within bay became a battle . |
