Exactly the same as yeterday except more wind. This has gotta be my best ever session. I was on the water for over 4 hours just blasting back and forth gettin used to my new equipment.
I wore my wetsuit but needent of bothered as the waters that warm so I left the zipper undone. I cant beleive I was recently going out in the cold waters back in the UK, its such a morale booster when the waters that much warmer. Looking forward to the North island as i'l be wearing my boardies although theres sharks lirking about.
There musta been around 20 of us out and it was great blasting to the other side from the harbour side a good mile or so towards Akaroa. I was out on the same kit as the day before and the whole setup was just perfect. Perfectly powered up on my 6.3 and I managed quite a few gybes without a dunking which I was pleased about. Its pretty hard geting used to the Mistral Classic, finding it hard to gybe but hopefully I'l get to grips with it. Got some absolutely mad speed runs in the flats as well which was great, if only I had a gps with me.
It doesn't get much better than this for me at the moment. absolutely stoked and theres loadsa wind forecast for tomorrow. Woohoo
