Distance Covered:

First day in Holland and the morning began with cloud and rain and wind. The rain died out and the sun shone and the wind continued to blow.

Jules and Al went out on my Thommen with a 5.0m sail so I rigged up my Flow with a 7.5m.

Had to sail out a distance to catch the wind and had some pretty good powered up runs at times. Took a while to get back up wind to come in as I'd been sailing way off shore and had a fair few down winders to keep planing ;-)

Jules had a good session and cracked beach starting and was apparently filmed for a dutch tourist information film sailing out (windsurfing, red hot & dutch? ;-) ) Anyway I was out sailing at the time so who knows!

Al managed to get going, good for a first attempt.

More wind forecast for tommorrow. Anyone for a beer....
