1st September 2008 Windsurfing: The Dip-Felixstowe Wind Direction: SSW Wind Stength: 20+ Surf / Sea State: rough Air Temperature: 18 Sea Temperature: 17 Weather: sunny Max Speed: 25.6 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 22.5 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) Got down at 5 to find 8 kiters and several windsurfers going well with 5m.So I rigged 5.6 as my 4.7 still has a hole in it,and found this to be just right.After a few runs came in and moved the mast foot to the front and made my footstraps bigger and this improved things and I even managed a few gybes.I also got some nice jumps and rode the waves on the way in.So a good 2 hrs with loads out sailing as the sun set was great,shame it was nearly dark by the time I had packed up.I suppose thats the summer over !!! and not much of one weather wise !!!! Bad news looks like my gps is knackered !!!! water in it I think !!!! |
