6th March 2017
Windsurfing: El Medano, Tenerife
Wind Direction: NE
Wind Stength: F6/F7 gust F8
Surf / Sea State: Chop, waves, swell
Air Temperature: 22
Sea Temperature: 19
Weather: sun and light cloud
Max Speed:
Distance Covered:

Windier than forecast and gustier too, but maybe appeared gusty as overpowered on 86twin/4.2m. Fully depowered sail but wind still too much, never mind the gusts. When wind moderated to a mere F6 it was good in the swells and shore waves.
Board also felt big (sailed 76l single fin in same conditions last year and was easier) and Rick said in strong winds but I needed smaller centre fins. It was really a day for 76l/3.7m. In gusts it was 2* when moderated 4* so that's 3* overall.
If wind eases might try again later.
