Tuesday 4th December - bike **** – Two Rivers – Deben to the Orwell - sunny.

After some days of mild weather today was colder but bright sunshine with vivid blue skies and very little wind which meant it was too good an opportunity not to get out on the bike! So after finishing my exercises followed by breakfast it was get the camera and head out at 11.20, sadly Mag was knackered after already spending two hours working in the garden she was knackered and decided to stay at home:( On reaching the cliff top at the end of our road the scene was stunning, mirror flat sea with glistening sun so I decided to return home to get Mag but she had arranged to view a flat with daughter-in-law Jay at the end of our road:) So back down to the prom turning left and heading to The Ferry stopping en-route to snap away! As usual the blue sky set of Felixstowe’s beach huts and the River Deben looked amazing with some great reflections. A quick trip around the boat yard, I never tire of taking picture’s here before biking out on the Deben sea wall path which was a bit muddy but OK to cycle. Sadly, no Bearded Tits as I turned left at Kingsfleet then out onto the country lanes arriving at Trimley. Then turning down Maidstone Road I came out at the docks by Mc Donald’s and soon arrived at the dock viewing point before turning and heading for home along the prom. I arrived home at 2 being out for 2hrs. 40 mins covering 16.64 miles in time to there all about the flat viewing. Although it was lovely inside as newly refurbished it smelt of cigarette smoke and the outside needed some serious work so that’s a no:( Mag and I then had a nice afternoon in our old friends’ kitchen with a cuppa and cake by her hot Aga. Looking like some big winds coming and if it doesn’t rain too much could be in for some good windsurfing:)

PS – it would have definitely been a 5 Star bike ride if Mag had been there !!!!
