16th April 2019 Mt. Biking: Ewhurst Circuit Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: cloudy Max Speed: Distance Covered: 10 miles (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) Tuesday 16th April – Bike ***** Ewhurst Circuit – cloudy. We had a good trip down from Felixstowe to Sayers Croft in Surrey taking two and a half hours and only eating one bag of liquorice tubes, parked in the car park for a cuppa, cards and bed. Then got a message from Rob to say that Hannah and Arlo were up so Mag and I headed over and had loads of hot cross buns for breakfast. Had a great catch up before all setting off on a ten-mile bike ride around Ewhurst using county lanes and bridle ways mainly through woods with bluebells and horse paddocks and farmland with yellow rape. We passed several of the upper classes out on their horses including one jumping through the trees:) We had to bike through a ford, Hannah and I braved the water while Rob and Mag chickened out and used the footbridge only for Hannah with Arlo on the back safely cross the stream only to fall off in the mud the other side! There was loads of flowers out on the lane verges including primroses, milkmaids, buttercups and wood anemones. We covered ten miles and were out two and a half hours and were much in need of yummy tuna sandwiches:) Then later we had a great time baby sitting playing Duplo with Arlo while Rob and Hannah went for a meal and the cinema.
