7th September 2020 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: 10-32 knots! Surf / Sea State: 3 foot messy surf Air Temperature: 15ºC Sea Temperature: 14ºC Weather: Cloudy Max Speed: Distance Covered: Plenty of wind when I got to the beach so rigged my 5m and 85ltr wave board. Once on the water the wind dropped though and there wasn't quite enough so I quickly headed back in to get my bigger board. Bigger 104ltr board in hand and it felt as though the wind was still dropping so I decided to rig my 5.7m as well. Back on the water and the wind continued to drop. I managed to get going but only just and then ended up on a downwind run followed by a walk of shame. I sat around on the beach for an hour or so but there just wasn't enough wind so I packed up and headed home. As soon as I was home and showered in came the wind again at just over 30 knots!! Well, that's windsurfing for you I suppose. |
