22nd January 2007 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Estuary Wind Direction: NE Wind Stength: 25-35 knots Surf / Sea State: Flat Air Temperature: 3ºC Sea Temperature: 9ºC Weather: Sunny Max Speed: 29.1 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 18.9 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) Thought I might have a day off today, but Ivor was in full force. With the windchill, temps were around minus 2ºC but it actually felt fine out there... Although it might be time to get some boots. Well powered and at times overpowered with the 5m and my little wave board. Quite choppy at times and the current was just ridiuclous. It was like sailing on a fast flowing river.. Oh, I guess that's what I was doing. Plenty of speed runs too, but I was alittle unsure of the location of the sand-banks so couldn't go flat out all the time. Great fun though with snow covered hills as a back-drop. |
