11th May and 13th May 12 - By Pocket Rocket

Fab beach and good on North end of the beach to set of for little sail!

Lovely kiter community but no windsurfers left?

Friday 5.3 on and off plaining little shore break. 1.5hour to the sunset.

Saturday nothing..

Sunday 6 kites out and me with 4m North Ice and 77l JP Freewave.

Onshore wind (great experience and learning opportunity). Strong rib pull closer the shore (towards North even when tide was going out and (oh dear) current far out. Messy waves but when you managed to get out some giant (mast high) waves/swell blocking the wind haha on the way back lovely on shore wave riding.. ok and loads of rinse when could not get pass the white water occationally and drank few pints of sea water. ( I can ensure it taste better than Cardiff)

Sunday 3 nice and friendly Uni student came out as well just when I was thinking my old bones had it enough.. decided to stay few runs more.. total 3ish hours sailing

Can't wait to sail cross shore in your lovely beach!

Pebbles B&B was faboulous lovely in every way! Shame you don't have more than 2 place to eat dinner. I had nice curry but 2 nights on the row was too much and pub menu was not my liking..

Thank you for advice and greeting for all friendly welcoming Kiters too!

New windsurfing buddys? - By justal

Looked good while I was running this evening. Gusting to 30 knots all afternoon. Would've been perfect with my little wave board and 4.5m.

Can't win 'em all I suppose... Too many other things to do.

Who got out today? Have you seen the forecast for the weekend - By snoozer11

Yep - It wind really picked up this afternoon and it is still sunny here in LLanafan so probably in Borth too - too late to get down now though. Really wish I had at lunchtime but loads of work to do and I was convinced it would be pouring down by mid afternoon !

kiteboard gokova Turkey - By rusty tdi

Lots of spot pimping on gokova by kite schools. its a good place to kite a bit busy and dangerous these days. great place to learn new tricks. The wind never really gets windy. i have been using an 11m bow kite there for the last 5 years and find it a bit light and i am 9 stone. if i was a big guy i would take a 11m and 13 or 14 m. you will need a car or a 30 min walk. And its a 10 Turkish Lira/ £4 charge to use the beach :winks3d:

Yesterday and today was lots of wind, 20-30 Knots W yesterday and 20-25 Knots NNW today. I Had not been out since a while. Yesterday was my usual hanging kite session lol ;) today was more enjoiable with sun spells!however after a good hour on the water the wind really picked up and at the same time I had to come out as one of my foot straps came off (fixed already). There werealso two other kiters from aberdify kite school. Time to go back to do some dissertaion work now and forget about the wind ;) :)

Looking for Participants - By marct

I am currently enrolled in an Executive MBA at Royal Roads University in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. As part of the program, we are required to include primary research (surveys and interviews). I need your help to fulfill this requirement...

I am currently conducting an online survey on Marketing Sales Strategies for equipment of specialized water sports (more specifically kiteboarding). The 20 question survey takes about 15 minutes to complete (on average), is anonymous and confidential, and has been reviewed and approved by the Royal Roads Research Ethics Review Board.

If you are willing to participate, you can link to the survey website with this address:

Thank you in advance.
