Does anyone know anything about Leucate? All I can find is in German...
it's in france, and the place is full of germans
Both of you are right: I am German and I have been there.
Leucate is a place for blasting in literally flat water. The "etang de Leucate" is an estuary (or is it a lake?). Anyway, you can stand
on the bottom most anywhere as it is not deep at all. The size is that of a medium lake, so it is big enough to have fun. The
speciallity about it is the wind called the "Mistral" which - when it does blow - blows very strong, and I mean VERY STRONG. If you go
there don't forget a small sail of about 3.0 m!
Due to the wind it usually gets quite choppy, too.
There are regular speed events due to the special conditions described above. I am sure a few Brithish take part in those as
well....
Hope that helps.

I'll be very interested on what its like if you go there ajdesq my dad and aunt are just waiting for the paper work for a flat about
they are buying 20 miles from Leucate. Ive no more holiday to book
from work this year but next year looks like Leucate way for holidays
better buy some small kit if the mistral blows
For the sites you have found use babel fish
doesn't do a perfect translation but can get a good idea whats going on
Cheers for all that... sounds like Tarifa on a pond... Just hope it
doesn¥t have Tarifa Attitude!
Will report back.
I'm going there for 2 weeks on the 26thmay. gona be doing a lot of kiting, on the water & land. Were meeting friands who live out
there, they say its acool spot for any wind junkie. I'll post some pics when I get back.

Hey Burgy, look out for a UK registered yellow Megane Coup?à buckling under the weight of kit on the roof - that's me!
Think I'll start a fresh thread on Lecate though now I'm here...
