hey folks,

ordered myself a scrub silver reef atb to play with - got it for £129! bargain...

just can't wait for it to arrive now! should be here tomorrow hopefully. and at least i'll have it for march 27th/28th!

no doubt you'll see me making a fool of myself on the beach now al?!?

Cool... I might have time on Wednesday afternoon to get to the beach... Not 100% sure yet though.

You'll be fine on the board, you've already got the kite-flying skills so kite-mountainboarding will be easy!

it says it comes with 8" tyres from boysstuff, so i'm hoping this is a misprint since it comes with 9" primo striker tyres from scrub.

1" won't make that much of a difference for now anyway.

they only have one board on there, luckily it's the one I wanted. they also have a couple of symphony kites on there. nothing special though!

The wind is still looking good for tomorrow afternoon.... I have some work to do, but should be able to manage to get to the beach for 3pm... Maybe earlier if it rains!!

absolutely! just checked where my board is - last tracked at shrewsbury depot - so hopefully will arrive in the morning! if it doesnt turn up then i'll still be down the estuary getting muddy.

it wont take long to set up so if its here early i'll be down the beach middayish onwards... likewise if its not.

the ever reliable met office has changed it's forecast i see, it was giving 15mph northerly earlier on, not we've got showers and 10mph north westerly! :s

Yeah, the forecast doesn't look so good all of a sudden.

I'll be on the sefront though not the estuary, espeically if the wind does have some westerly in it... its only worth being in the estuary when there is some eastery in the wind (or its Force 8 plus!)

If there is enough wind, I'll park up in the Golf Course Car Park by the Ynyslas junction... right up near the dunes at the far northern end of the car park so that we are beyond the groynes.

Well, it wasn't that good....I'll do a full write up in the diaries in a minute, not that theres much to say.

It looks as though there is some snow on the hills though. There was quite a snow-strom at one point while I was out windsurfing too.

yep been out for about four hours, but those gusts when the snow came stopped play and caught me out one too many times!! i pulled in to the golf course car park on the way back at about 15:45 but your van wasnt there so i gathered you werent about. in fact nobody else had parked there, so came back.

never mind!

i may be down again tomorrow after 3. see what the winds doin first.

No... It wasn't great. I won't have time to play tomorrow, but Firday afternoon might be OK... The forecast looks windier for Friday too.
