North Wales Weekend

I'm planning a 'Forces-of-Nature' weekend in North Wales for the weekend of 1st-2nd March. As usual what we do and where we go will depend on the weather but I'm basing myself at the Snowdon Ranger Youth Hostel which gives me the opportunity to do a range of activities all within a short drive:

Surfing at Hells Mouth
Windsurfing / Kitesurfing at Dinas Dinlle or on Anglesey
Walking / Scrambling etc on Snowdon or thereabouts
MTB at Betws y Coed

I'm not actually arranging anything, but if anyone else is likely to be around or fancies meeting up then feel free to do so. Post here and we'll try to organise something.

Thats a shame Shem.... I'm sure we'll do another one some time that you will be able to make.

Steve is going to be there, and hopefully a few friends from the Isle of Man will make it too... I've booked us into the Snowdon Ranger Youth Hostel, and i've got a night at the Betws y Coed Hostel too, so it would be rude not to do the Gwydyr Mountain Bike Trail whilst I'm there..

I dont have a mountain bike but have a fly rod and could do some fishing when you chaps are riding. I cant remember if the season opens begining of March or mid March. Or I could hire a bike and crash and burn

What day you planning todo the Gwdyr trail Al?
Ive still not got round to riding it yet, the youth hostel at Betws y Coed Hostel has a very nice bar attached.*


rode penmachno on Saturday last time had too much to drink and felt too rough to ride on the Sunday morning

No definite plans yet BEFS as it will be weather dependent, but as I will be staying at the Betws y Coed Hostel on Sunday night, then it is most likely to be the Sunday.

You gonna join us for the weekend?

Good stuff BEFS, will be good to meet you there.... And who knows we may even persuade Impi to join us on the bikes if he can hire one from Betws y Coed.... Come on Impi, you know you want to!

Well that sounds like a good plan then. Thanks BEFS. As long as you pro's dont mind waiting for me to catch up and are able to conduct a bit of first aid when I crash, you can count me in.
With all this planning to mountian bike the wind will surely blow!!!

Impi.... Are you still meeting us there?? Wind looks good for tomorrow (Friday)... Steve and I are meeting at Dinas Dinlle at around 10am... may sail there or head around to Rhosneigr, we;ll see how it looks.
