Poole Harbour Kitesurfing

Hi,

I was thinking about going out to Poole Harbour this friday for a kitesurf.

The forecast is for 23 knots and WestNorthWest winds. What direction is this? (e.g Onshore, Offshore, Cross - On, Cross - Off etc)

And is this a good direction for Poole Harbour?

Cheers.

It depends where in Poole Harbour you are going from?

If you are launching from the harbour side of Sandbanks then a NW should be pretty much straight onshore. The beach there does curve around through pretty much 90 degrees though so by the time you get to the northern end a SW would be dead onshore and a WNW would be cross onshore from the right.

Have fun!

Al.
