Good Launch spots in Cornwall
Lucky me, I'm off to Cornwall on Friday for two weeks.
Any tips on good locations to try?
I'll be based in Hayle.
I know of The Bluff, Gwithian. And I've sailed Long Rock on flat days.
I was thinking of exploring up towards Falmouth for some intermediate type spots but don't know where to go.
Any info would be helpful.

Andy, Westcounty Watersports have a good guide to Cornish spots

Not sure there is much wind forcast here for a while so it might be worth hiring a surfboard if your based at Hayle.
If it's windy you might find me and my red golf at Marazion (the station house)

Thanks Paul, I've printed off their guide.
I'm down for two weeks so I hoping for some wind in that time. If not I've got a 9.0m sail so a sea breeze would still do.
Otherwise it depends how long the kids will let me out on the water for!
I wanted to save up and buy a surf board but I failed and bought a 2nd hand sail instead! But I may hire one instead depending on the
weather.
I'll look out for you at Marazion. If the winds only light I'll be the one having my 9.0m trashed by the shore break...
I'm in a Renault Megane (optional 3 kids in tow).
Have you ever sailed from Maenporth or Gyllunvase near Falmouth, if so what are they like to get to, park at, sail? I was thinking of
exploring that area too.

I work about 2 minutes walk from Gyllunvase but haven't sailed there, but I have seen others and it is quite a popular launch in some
wind directions, parking is ok, you may have to unload at the beach then park but there is a big park only a couple hundred yards from
the sea
If the wind has any north in it, it might be worth checking out mylor or loe beach as the wind seems to funnel up the estery, again not
sailed it myself but others have, it just can get a little busy if the weather is nice with other boats and commercial shipping

Well I never made it to Falmouth but sailed at Marazion and The Bluff instead.
I managed to miss you Paul, I think I went out at Hayle when you were sailing Marazion. You're pretty lucky living near to these
locations, the words spoilt for choice spring to mind!
Anyway I've eventually caught up and got those diary entries in.

Read your diary entries, interesting to read we were both out on 6.4 trixx's, I guess that shows there's not a huge wind difference
between marazion and the bluff in a S/SW
glad you had a good time, we've had a fairly windy July, shame I had to work
