the spongers have there own forum ,so go out tell your fellow spongers and get them on this site ,more people the more help and advice we can give , i am from the south west so anybody with any questions about the south west bodyboarding scene i will try and anwser.
Hopefully i will get some pics on the site of some of the resent swells we have been blessed with

Nice one Wez. Do you know anywhere called 'Downend Point' near Croyde Bay? I was wondering where it was exactly seeing as your the new info master of the south west.

croydes a 2-3 hour drive for me ,so if theres any surf i tend to stay in cornwall ,so i cant help you .try looking on a ordnance survey map , or try asking al as he was in the croyde area for sometime ...sorry

Yep... I know where Downend Point is!!!!

Surfed there loads actually, and its no secret spot..... Its just the wave that breaks over the rocks at the northern end of Croyde. It has a pretty fast hollow take off that if you get wrong you'll be pulling barnacles out of your back for days. Some days you can rie it all along the point to the beach, but the main feature is the fast hollow initial section.

Thanks Al, i tought i recognised the rocks. There the ones nearest to Baggy Point. I don't think i'm ready to take those waves on yet. Not with all those rocks!
I think i'll just sit and watch!
