Kite Sizes

I'm looking for a smaller kite preferably a 10m North Rhino to complement the 14m I've already got.

I've been looking around at various stuff on the web and there's all this garb about kite sizes, xxM flat, projected etc etc.

Could someone enlighten me on how to establish what the real size of a kite is.

Cheers

Rich,

The flat area is what it says, the measurement of the kite lying flat on the ground.

Projected, is basiclly the area you see when flying it, not the tips that curl over to the lines.

Most companys now just use flat measurements. The old Cabhrinas, Wipikas gave projected sizes, I think they also had the flat size as well though.
Ie, I had an old Cabhrina CO2 , it was 11.5 projected ,15.5 flat (I think, it was a couple of years ago)

Is the Rhino a flat measurement ? if so look for a 10 m flat, or 7 ish projected.
