Strike wind conditions..........

i'm gonna start kitesurfing after xmas, and was gonna get a Litewave 145 by 43 and either a strike 11 or 13m,
I will probably be down at Borth or Aberdovery most weekends, and was wondering what the best size would be for the wind conditions around that area?
I am about 6ft and 75kg
Probably goin to get some lessons first, but i'm only 17, does any know where i can get lessons, cos most places u have to be 18, if your under 18, you have to have a parent watching u all day, and my parents do wanna do that, any idea???

cheers for the help

merry christmas to everyone

If you want to have a go (on the beach at Borth) with either of those sizes before you buy, let me know and I can sort it out for you. It's difficult to say which will be the best, as the conditions change all the time and there isn't a huge difference between the two... I'd say for your first kite go with the smaller one as you'll be able to use it in light-wnds on the beach to get the hang of flying the kite and it will have a higher top end wind range for you, with a bigger kite as your only kite you'll have to put it away earlier as the wind picks up... It won't make much difference though between the 13 and the 11 Strike.

Good choice of kites, i've got an 11 and 15 - if you go for the 11 you'll be setup to add the 15 at a later date - I'd rather have the 11 and 15 than the 13 and 17.
