Spence,

A bit late I know but Bigbury wouldn't have been too bad with the sea state though the wind would've been dead onshore. Bigbury wasn't forecast much wind for the afternoon anyway. For the future Bigbury is sailable at low tide in onshore conditions but Wonwell (Erme Estuary) is much better in a Southerly. If your travelling any great distance there are better places in a Southerly that don't close out at high tide.
