Saturday's looking good.

Sunday looks OK with a hangover. Maybe?

was amazing weekend but shocked to see some new guy to the beach out on a 14m (i was on my 8m and powered) with no fricking kite leash! he thinks they're dangerous. bloody idiot. i pissed on his car door handles that'll teach him! oh and some monkeys who bought a foil of ebay 4m blade launched it in 30+knots (i'd told them not too) guy landed were kite took off from on his face let go of the kite but it was ok as i had predicted every move and was waiting in the dunes to catch it. gave them a lecture. and his mouth was pissing blood. so i pissed on them as well. awesome weekend though was great to see some skilled pole huggers out. and the kiters progressing so much!

Willf not sure if you are refering to me but I was out on a 14m Cabrinha kite at the weekend.

If you take a good look at them you will see that through there good design the leash is built in to the chicken loop. You pull your safety, the lines shoot off leaving the kite depowered but still attatched by the chicken loop which stays in place.

If you have a problem why dont you say some thing at the time. Not new to the Beach either, been windsurfing it for the last 12 years on and off.

come on man i was joking!!! i would never piss on any one or their property. it's good you had a good time but on the other hand if you drop that kite and the line wraps round someone or another kite or a child or a dog or someones car and does damage injury or death and gets the sport banned at borth then it is serious and i mean it. there is no excuse in 2005 to not ride with a leash it is negligent beginner or expert the info is out there. we had this arguement back in 2001 when there weren't even quick releases.

you are welcome at borth but you must be safe, no one on the beach is willing to lose the LUXURY of kiting at borth for one guy.

Weekend

Not that Drunk .....

Not sure what the crack is ?

Let's sytop all newcomers getting into the sport and watch it diie..

I have watched many sports die because of bad vibes and don't wish to see this one go the same way ...!!!!

Pull together and prove that it is a safe sport ... and yes , safety is a good thing and push for it ... but pisssing into the wind only maks you feel good.. work together.......

Wow what a great thread - I'll be down over the weekend to hold the coats and kiss things better.

Except for Will who spends far too much time hanging around animals bottoms - words of comfort only I'm afraid!
