Horton and Port Eynon share the same stretch of sand in Port Eynon Bay. Horton is at the eastern end of the bay and car parking and a grassy rigging area is available just behind the beach.
A perfect beach for windsurfing and kitesurfing, and the surf can be good too. Horton is generally quieter than Port Eynon, but has correspondingly less facilties too. Depending on the conditions, Horton can offer windsurfing to suit all tastes, from long-board crusing to full on wave sailing. Southerly through to NW winds are best.

Nice Beach, and now Toilets in Car Park!
I visited Horton on 1st August 2006 and was nicely surprised to find
Toilets with ample room for changing in, and sinks that have running
water!
The trek to the beach is about 300m and there is a plank walkway most of
the way. There is a lifeguard station on the beach.
Quite a few families on the beach and lots of boogie boarders.
I decided to rig up on the beach, and found that the sand is very fine and
when windy, your skin is sandblasted.
I am a beginner windsurfer with a large floaty board, but managed to get
past the incoming waves aven on a really windy day. Lots of space for
windsurfing and very nice scenery.
Coming back in was a bit hairy, but most likely because I am still
learning.
I hope to post up some pictures I took on the day.

Thanks Graf.... I've edited the listing so that it shows the beach has
toilets now... Are you sure the toilets were at Horton and not Port Eynon,
(which is the village at the western end of Horton beach)?
Al.
