Windsurfing: The Dip-Felixstowe Wind Direction: ene Wind Stength: 15/20 Surf / Sea State: flat and big Air Temperature: 13 Sea Temperature: 10 Weather: cloudy :( Max Speed: 28.04 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 14 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)
Again down at the Dip at 4 with Andy Mexome out on 7m and the sea still
fairly flat but the tide was coming in now and the sea was only going to
get worse :( By the time I had rigged the 7.5 and small slalom the sea was
big !!! but there was still a small section of flat water behind a shingle
bank in the R.Deben mouth. It was hard work beating up the river and then
you had to sail though chop to the flat water :( The course was short too
only 200/300 m but made 28kts the first run :) Then the runs got slower and
slower as the tide broke over the shingle and it was knackering getting
back upwind!!! I gave up in the end and had a hairy trip back to the Dip in
the big sea !!! I had a few runs in the open sea but only made 25 kts and
gave up with cold hands :)
