Pretty much a "should have been here earlier" evening... but just about redeemed in the end.

Arrived to find plenty of people out and nice wind. Rigged 5.4 and Evo, and went out just as the wind dropped right off.

Stopped immediately and went to "plan-B", my trusty old Bee and a 6.4m. By that time all but a couple had come in (and a few who'd just rigged just de-rigged without having got wet!).

Despite a few calls of "you'll need bigger than that!" (which I agreed with!), there were still kites out and I can usually plane if they can.

So... I launched in what felt like bugger-all wind, and was surprised to find I could plane nicely 100% of the time, not a single moment of blobbing. Only sailed for 20mins [missus was waiting patiently in the car...], but it was a nice fun blast.

Rather good fun actually, and it certainly surprised a few people :)
