did dragons back today at coed y brenin, got there for 10 to be greeted by a damp drizzle, fog, rain day..

nice.....

forgot how rocky dragons back was and with the recent winds/storms there was loose rock and logs/tree cuttings everywhere.
at times it was like riding through a running stream.

Those of you that know cody and the dragons back, might remeber that as you traverse the trails and cross streams coming down the mountain, well these streams are normally 2 inches deep at most.

they where raging torents about 12 inches deep in places, so where you could normally nail it through the singletrack you couldn't and to be honest it was quite dangerous.

with the loose rock everywhere fallen tree's etc it made for a hard slog.

we were glad to amke it back to the van, and have a warm shower, after cleaning the bikes etc.

despite the crap conditions we went round in just over 3 hours which for about 22 mile didn't think was too bad.

oh yea had to stop a few times for my ridning buddy, who was useing seal skins waterproof socks..

#This was to empty them, the offer of the wetsuit in the van didn't seem a bad idea.
