Windsurfing: Felixstowe-Dip
Wind Direction: SSW
Wind Stength:
Surf / Sea State: chop
Air Temperature: 16
Sea Temperature: 19
Weather: cloud
Max Speed: 23.4/2secs (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 14.2 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

AS soon as rain cleared went to Dip and was on water 9:30 on 115l/6.4. Windier than it looked and 96l/6m would have been better. Others turned up and wind gradually eased and went a bit offshore giving a 30m wind shadow until wind went well offshore so I gave up. Others stayed out but after a recent long swim in when wind switched off fast I played safe.
Earlier I tried 6.4m on 96l but sail a bit too big, but boardmuch more comfortable in chop. 'Old school' 115 corks and rises up on gybes in chop but nice gybe in smoother sections.
Had long ride in to near blue hut so wary of rocks went out slowly looking for weed and breaking water. Saw none then clunk as fin hit rocks and knocked off and I drifted in.
Best wind for ages but sea a quite choppy.
