Felt like there was plenty of wind but once on the beach it was less than I was expecting so rigged my 5.7m and big wave board. That was just enough for a while but then there was a big lull and not enough wind. Before long though there was too much, then not enough again! Spent the next half an hour tuning my sail on the beach as much as actually sailing but in the end the wind filled in properly and the 5.7m was too much.

I changed down to my 5m and now the wind was blowing properly so had a good hour or so well powered in the waves. Some big waves out the back too. The wind continued to pick up and things got quite hectic out there after a while with waves and chop all over the place.
