Windsurfing: Llanfairfechan Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: F6/F7 Surf / Sea State: smooth chop Air Temperature: 24 Sea Temperature: 15 Weather: sun Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Ambled down the beach expecting 7.5m wind but quite a few white horses.
Matt was launching a foil with 5.2m but came straight back in and got his
fin board, so I rigged 6m to try Kode 94 Rik was selling. It was windier
than it looked and had an almost perfect couple of hours maxed on 94l/6m in
smooth chop until Gary came out on 4.7m as I was having to spill wind so I
changed to 78l/4.7m and had a further excellent hour bombing about. Gary
did a few good jumps but I am not good enough to launch into wind driven
swells. Despite wind some quite nice flat bits to do fast gybes, and
concentrated on improving port gybes by turning sharper further out in wind
driven chop and small swells. Wished I was fitter to carry on but 3+ hours
very good.
