Kite surfing: Conwy Morfa Wind Direction: NNW Wind Stength: F3-F6 Surf / Sea State: Surf Air Temperature: 7.5 Sea Temperature: 11.6 Weather: Sun and heavy showers Max Speed: Distance Covered:
First kite for a month as wind been strong and right direction for
windsurfing, but NNW is better to kite as onshore in Morfa. Two guys on 9m
but forecast to ease so 11m and two others arriving rigged 11m and 12m and
as soon as we hit water wind dropped to barely flying kite.
Tried but nowhere near going until after 10 minutes wind returned and nice
in smooth surf and pleased turns worked well, not rusty. Rain and squall
hit with maximum depower needed then eased to barely flying only to max in
another squall. After hour and half packed up as wind gone for good, as
forecast, and tide getting high on beach as it can here. Worth it and good
fun. Cold in squalls.
