Friday 2nd September – bike **** – Two rivers, Deben to the Orwell including lunch at the Ferry – sunny periods.

Usual morning at home, once again sunny and pretty warm, with no sign of a breeze I made lunch before heading out on our bikes. For the second day running I had trouble with my battery so had to peddle the old fashion way using just muscle power:) hopefully Mag has sorted out the problem by switching the battery off and recharging it, fingers crossed! We did not leave home until late around 1.30 so headed down to Felixstowe Ferry via Gulpher Road and Marsh Lane seeing loads of Martins just about to return to Africa:) Felixstowe Ferry was busy with families crabbing from the beach but we sat at our quiet spot on the mouth of the Deben watching the world go by, just a few yachts and a humpty looking like Darth Vader going bonkers on a jet bike, luckily, he stayed away from us! We were entertained by a couple who took ages to sot their pump-up canoe out just to paddle to the shingle bar to fish:) It started to cloud over so we continued on our way past the Golf course to The Dip and around to The Fludgers. Mag turned for home at The Spa while I continued to the view point spotting a foiler out at The Manor but it was very light! The huge Ever Drone or Alp was at the first berth, then home via Langer Pak for a cuppa and scone.
