Saturday 30th March - bike **** – Around Felixstowe – Sunny periods.

With no wind today we had a relaxing start, a bit of a lay-in doing Wordle etc, then we got a call saying our long time friends Linda and Neil Hurrell were inn our road about to visit for a cuppa. We sat in the garden and had a really lovely catch up chat, so nice to see them and you could just make out the sun through the hazy cloud and Mag still had her pyjamas on! With the company gone Mag pottered in the garden while I did my exercises, then as the sun made an appearance and the wind being light I decided to head out on my bike. Down to the prom at the end of our road which was horrendously busy and around to the quieter Dip leading to the Ferry with the tide very high, a quick spin around the boat yard before heading out onto the Deben path, I was going to turn off at Kings Fleet but it was such a lovely day I bumped all the way to Kirton Creek not seeing another soul for ages with some top clouds and some cool birds including a curlew, oyster catcheers, egrets and a buzzard. I then headed inland through farmland coming out at Kirton. Back along Candlet Road, through the woods at The Grove and home for a cuppa and hot cross bun and watch England ladies rugby team beat Wales!
