Friday 22nd November - walks *** – Around Felixstowe – Sunny periods cold:(.

Woke this morning to a light dusting of snow here in Felixstowe so headed out at 7.15 to see the sunrise and take some snowing pics even if it was a little thin on the ground! Got some pics of the patches of snow on walls, then down through the gardens near the town hall and the mearest covering on the beach. The sunrise looked disappointing with a back of cloud on the horizon but I did get a little colour in the sky, the cloud did clear later and it turned into a sunny day with a cold 20 knot wind from the west. A few sea dippers were out and I got a photo of them on tonights ITV About Anglia before they had a very brief spell in the sea:) Then home for warming porridge and short my pics out, with our son Robert working from home Mag and I walked around to pick Maeva up for the day, she is on antibiotics so she was wrapped up against the cold as we continued into town to get a few things before continuing along the cliff top with the sea shining on the flat sea.
We then had to head into Ipswich to meet Neil and Linda Hurrell at my Dads who was going to help us get into the garage as we could not get the door to budge, Rob and Maeva also came and she was fast asleep when we arrived. Neil was already in the garage, the crowbar was not required as he realised it was an electric door and he just had the push a button, both me and my sister felt pretty silly but we did laugh:) Both the my Dads car and van would not start but with the help of Neils jump leads they were both running. We then had a lovely chat in the kitchen before Neil took the car to sort out an mot as we drove over to Auntie Diane for a cuppa, then we had to drive over home in the dark! Storm Bert is coming for the weekend with strong wind and rain but mild, I think I will give windsurfing a miss and watch Ipswich play Man United on Sunday with Rob:)
