Hiking - Walking: Around Felixstowe Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Tuesday 26th November - walks **** – Around Felixstowe – Sunny but
chilly.
Walk 1 – sunrise prom.
After our sons aborted train trip from Felixstowe yesterday when he got as
far as Ipswich before he discovered all trains to Cornwall were cancelled
due to flooding so he was going to try again today! I had a quick walk down
to Felixstowe seafront hoping for a sunrise but was disappointed so headed
home.
Walk 2 – Landguard Nature Reserve.
We dropped Rob off at the station just before 9 and he actually made it
home today, as we were already out and with it being nice and sunny we
decided to have our walk so drove to The Manor end. We set off around a
very quiet and lovely Landguard Nature Reserve with some cool clouds out to
sea with a container leaving Felixstowe, the first of 3 ships we saw today
as 2 ferries leave as well. We made a detour to the view point café to use
the loo before walking along the Orwell with the sun shinning off the sea.
Back along the deserted beach to the van and home for breakfast, a top
walk:)
It is Maevas 2nd Birthday but she was not coming roiund to late afternoon
which left us enough time to visit our old friend Mary for a lovely
catch-up chat over a cuppa.
Maeva was having an afternoon nap and they did not arrive until 6 and she
was very grumpy to start with but she slowly came round with the help of
some tea, crackers, grated cheese and a few crisps, then we put on the
70’s disco music which she absolutely loves and has all the moves:) Maeva
then undid all her Birthday presants and was pleased with everything she
got, loving posing with the many items of clothing, she is lovely, a real
pleasure to be with:)
