Thursday 8th May – Windsurf ***** The Dip at Felixstowe – Sunny.

Starboard Freeride 150 and a Evolution Freeride foil with a Tushingham Stom 5.2.

The sun returns today here at Felixstowe with a the good NE breeze continuing but with low water at 3.30 I had time to have a quick walk down to the seafront to take some pics of union jacks as it’s the 80th Annesary of VE Day to send to the TV weather but my luck is out on that front at the moment:( I then had time to do my exercises in the sunny backgaden as Ian C messaged to say he was heading down to The Dip. I dropped Mag off at The Fludyes on the way to the beach, Ian was aleady out on his fin board with a m, while Andrew M was about to head out on another fin boad with 6.5 but he did come after a few runs to change down to 5.7! It did look like a good fin day but I again went for my foil again, I think my fin days are behind me as foiling is much easie on my old body, great fun too:) I took a chance with my 5.2 which proved perfect for the session. The was fairly smooth in close but it soon became pretty big on my long runs out to sea, going for speed befoe hitting the rougher water, I was pleased to get three PB’s, max speed, average and hour but after a pretty full-on session and I was getting knackered after sails in 7 days so I decided to call it a day. I am pleased to be having a day off tomorrow and we ae having the Granddaughter, the lovely Maeva:)
