28th June 2025
Windsurfing: Bradfield
Wind Direction: SW
Wind Stength: F3_4
Surf / Sea State: Flat
Air Temperature: hot
Sea Temperature: warm
Weather: Sunny
Max Speed: 20.5 (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 12.3 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

Nice sunny day at Bradfield. It was so hot, I had slight heat exhaustion in my 3mm suit after 1hr. Even though I fell in and jumped in deliberately, I seemed to be getting very warm and weak.
Big turn out at Bradders with the 3.30 tide, 3 x fin, 5 wings x 5 wind foilers.
The wind was lighter than forecast about 12kts at midday, and direction iffy, as it was swing more south which is dead off. Wings were 5M, Wind ranged from 6m to 10M and fin 11m (Formula sailor) to 6m.
Wings were flying pretty easy in the light wind on the far side, whilst wind and fins not so easy, but then some decent gusts were coming thru, prob 20kts on the flat water which was brilliant to get some speed up.
Today I had some good runs in the gusts, with a 100M run clocking 19.x and then building up to 20.5kts towards the mirror flat water near Mistley!. I stayed in that area mainly, but couldn't repeat the speed, but did a couple of decent flying gybes on the flat water.
The formula head had a good time blasting in the gusts and did well to hang on to 11M. I sailed to Wrabness at the other end but didn't get too many gusts, so called it a day at high tide, due to high body heat and dehydration in the full length 3mm suit.
Nice location Bradfield for rigging on grass and chilling after as no pressure on parking. All the sailors said they enjoyed the couple of hours in lightish winds, and I loved it due to the mirror flat water! Despite the heat, still had to finnish the day in the steam room!
