Thursday 3rd July - walks *** – Around Felixstowe including picnic on
the beach – sunny.
Yesterdays rain had gone and we were back to sunshine with lovely blue
sky’s but a tad cooler making it the perfect summer day! I had a drive
round Felixstowe at 8.30 to take some weather pics, heading down to the
view point, then The Manor finishing by the pier! Then home for breakfast
and exercises in the back garden, the wind was light and offshore but there
was a chance of it turning SE and building to a foilable breeze so I had
one eye on that! By midday it was still light so I packed a picnic and we
walked down to the seafront at the end of our road and we ambled along
towards The Fludyers and with a nice onshore breeze now it was very
pleasant:) We found a nice quiet spot on the beach for lunch, it still
looked too light to foil so we walked home via the town cetre and home,
before spending a pleasant time in the garden. There was some great
wildlife enjoying Mags flowers, loads of butterflies and bees, plus a quick
visit from a hummingbird moth and a large dragonfly:) Looking forward to
tomorrow, Friday = Maeva day then over the weekend it is looking breezy
enough to sail, fingers crossed!
