Hiking - Walking: Around Felixstowe Wind Direction: Wind Stength: light airs Surf / Sea State: Flat Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: sunny periods Max Speed: Distance Covered: 3 miles (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)
Wednesday 22nd October - walk **** – Around Felixstowe including a
picnic on the beach – sunny periods and calm.
Definnately the calm before the storm with Storm Benjamin arriving tomorrow
with heavy rain with winds from the NW gusting to 60 mph, I will probably
give windsurfing a miss! The day started cloudy so no sunsrise walk today
and we had a bit of a lay-in and even managed to do my exercises in the
back garden. With our van still in the garage haing parts fitted to pass
the MOT we were a bit limited today but it was such a nice day I packed a
picnic and we walked down to Felixstowe seafront. With a light offshore
breeze, some lovely sunshine with a nice selection of clouds, the perfect
day for a day by the seaside. We turned left walking towards The Fludyers
taking a few pics on the way, at the end of the prom at Jacobs Ladder we
walked along the beach and found a nice quiet spot by a wooden groyne to
enjoy lunch:) While we were there the garage rung ti say our van was ready
so we carried towards the Dip, up the steps to the beach huts at
Brackenbury and onto Felixstowe town centre. We pick uu the van, I drive
home while Mag walks to get her miles, she has already reached her years
target!
